My congratulations to the newly baptized of St. Catherine of Siena. This is not the end of your studies, just the beginning! Stay focused, be a model for your family and stay true to your faith. The celebration of your baptism was wonderful and I feel truly honored to have been with you 4 for the course of your studies. It has taken many dedicated people to see the fruition of your desire to be baptized, never take it for granted. Keep on the path to seeking the way, the truth and the light. Blessings to you all!

I guess I had never really considered that we do not call old testament figures saints, I just always assumed that they were saints because god talked directly to them and in the Jewish faith there are no "saints" but prophets. Good points in this article, fed my interest in this topic.

For those considering the RCIA process, I can only give you one thought: GO! It is a fascinating process, and you will have the chance to grow spiritually as you learn more about the faith. RCIA is not just a class, an event, or a destination – it’s a process. Make the goal to go one week at a time. You’re not making a commitment, you are simply going to learn more. When the time comes to make a commitment, you will know what to do. I made myself wait until Good Friday to make the decision – that was back in 2010. It is a decision that I have not regretted.
